Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and Cal Val Analyzer for your use of Cal Val Analyzer — the website, the installable app, and the plans and estimates it produces. By creating an account or using the app you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the service.

How we handle your information is set out separately in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Cal Val Analyzer is a general fitness and nutrition tool. It is not a medical device, it does not diagnose or treat anything, and nothing it shows you is advice from a doctor, dietitian or any other healthcare professional.

Your calorie target comes from a standard population formula and, where available, an AI model — both of which describe averages, not you specifically. Real energy needs vary with genetics, medication, sleep, illness, hormones and much else that the app cannot see.

Talk to a qualified professional before you start, and especially if you:

• are pregnant or breastfeeding;
• have or have had an eating disorder, or find that tracking food worsens your relationship with it;
• have diabetes, heart, kidney, liver or thyroid conditions, or any condition affecting how you metabolise food;
• take medication that interacts with diet or exercise; or
• are recovering from injury or surgery.

Stop and seek medical help if you feel unwell while following a plan. Never delay getting professional advice because of something this app told you. In an emergency, contact your local emergency service.

When you photograph a plate or type what you ate, an AI model estimates the calories and macros. It is genuinely useful and it is genuinely approximate. It cannot weigh your portion, see the oil in the pan or know the recipe, and it will sometimes be wrong — occasionally by a lot.

We check every figure the model returns against plausibility limits and fall back to a formula when something looks unsafe, but we do not promise accuracy. Treat the numbers as a well-informed guide, correct them when you know better, and do not rely on them where precision actually matters clinically.

You must be at least 16 years old to use Cal Val Analyzer, and old enough under your local law to agree to these terms on your own. If you are under 18, please use it with a parent or guardian's knowledge. Calorie restriction in a growing body needs professional supervision, and this app is not a substitute for it.

• Give us accurate information. The plan is only as good as the stats it is built from — an invented weight produces an invented target.
• Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at support@calvalanalyzer.com if you think someone else has access.
• One account per person, and it is yours alone — do not share or transfer it.

You can stop using the service whenever you like. To have the account and its data deleted, email privacy@calvalanalyzer.com from the address on the account.

• Use the app for anyone else's body without their knowledge, or enter someone else's health information.
• Present its output as professional medical, dietary or clinical advice to another person.
• Break into it — probing for vulnerabilities, bypassing the sign-in, reading or writing another account's data, or scraping it in bulk.
• Overload it, whether with automated traffic or by using the AI features far beyond ordinary personal use.
• Copy, resell or white-label the service, or reverse-engineer it other than as the law expressly allows.
• Upload anything unlawful, or any photo you do not have the right to share.

Your profile, your food log and your photos belong to you. We claim no ownership of them.

You give us only the permission we need to run the service for you: to store your entries, to process them into your plan and charts, and to pass a meal description or photo to our AI provider so it can be read. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account. We do not use your data to train AI models, and we do not publish it.

The app itself — its software, design, text and branding — belongs to Cal Val Analyzer and is not part of what you are licensed to reuse.

We aim to keep Cal Val Analyzer running and improving, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Features may change, be added or be withdrawn, and the app depends on third-party services — including Google's AI API — that can fail or change independently of us.

If the AI is unavailable, the app falls back to formula-based calculations so your plan still works. If we ever discontinue the service entirely, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export your data first.

Signing in with Google, and the AI analysis, are provided by Google under Google's own terms. We are not responsible for those services, and your use of them is subject to their terms as well as ours. What we send them, and why, is set out in our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that is being used to attack or abuse the service, or where we are required to by law. Where it is safe and lawful to do so we will tell you why and give you a chance to put it right. You may close your account at any time, for any reason or none.

Except where the law says otherwise, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind — express or implied — including fitness for a particular purpose, and including any warranty that the calorie figures, macro splits, meal plans or workout plans are accurate, complete or suitable for you. Nothing here limits rights your consumer-protection law gives you and does not let us exclude.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Cal Val Analyzer is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost data or profits, or for any harm arising from your reliance on an estimate, plan or target the app produced. You are responsible for decisions you make about your own diet and training.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim, or the minimum the law permits.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes about them belong to the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the protections and the right to bring a claim in the courts of the country where you live, where your local law gives you that.

We may update these terms as the app changes. The date at the top of this page always shows the current version, and we will give you notice in the app or by email before a material change takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms; if you do not, close your account.
